Ever since I was a little girl, I was always taking care of things. I lived on a farm with a large family and many animals. Living on a farm was hard work. There were many injuries, broken bones, sprained ankles, skinned knees and chronic pain.
I began my massage career over 20 years ago waiting to get into the physical therapy program at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. I was certified by the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) in 1994 and began doing massage full time. Even though I loved massage, I continued to pursue my dream and became a physical therapist in 2001. Currently I work full time as a physical therapist at Tomah Memorial Hospital with a special interest in total joint rehabilitation, lymphedema, wound care, pediatrics and industrial rehabilitation. After becoming a physical therapist, I temporarily stopped doing massage but then started again in 2003 because I missed it so much. I joined The Wellness Center in July of 2008 and now in 2013 moved to the Healing Journey Wellness Center. I am very proud to be involved in such a beautiful center that promotes education, relaxation, healing, peace and serenity. About one year ago, I got entered into the wonderful world of Young Living Essential oils.
As if my two careers do not keep me busy enough, I have a lot of hobbies and a dog that keep me busier. I love hiking, traveling, making cakes, scrapbooking, reading, relaxing and hanging out with family and friends.
